Vanaf 1 augustus 2014 hebben alle basisscholen de wettelijke taak om passend onderwijs te geven. Omdat scholen dit niet alleen kunnen, zijn alle scholen aangesloten bij een regionaal samenwerkingsverband. Binnen een samenwerkingsverband werken alle basisscholen samen met scholen voor speciaal basisonderwijs en speciaal onderwijs in de regio. Onze school is aangesloten bij het samenwerkingsverband Zeeluwe samen met de scholen uit Nijkerk, Putten, Ermelo, Harderwijk, Zeewolde, Nunspeet, Elburg en Epe. Deze regionale indeling is door de minister vastgesteld.
Zorgplicht
Het kernbegrip bij passend onderwijs is zorgplicht. Zorgplicht betekent dat de school de verantwoordelijkheid heeft om in goed overleg met de ouders de passende ondersteuning te bieden. Liefst zoveel mogelijk in de eigen school. Als blijkt dat dit niet mogelijk is op onze school, dan hebben wij de opdracht om naar de best passende plaats te zoeken. Wij overleggen met u welke school het best passend is voor uw kind. Dat kan zijn op een andere school binnen het samenwerkingsverband of op een school voor speciaal (basis) onderwijs. Als u het niet eens bent met het aanbod van de school, dan kunt u dit bij ons aankaarten, bij het samenwerkingsverband of om ondersteuning vragen door een onderwijsconsulent of het voorleggen aan een landelijke geschillencommissie.
Om de zorgplicht zorgvuldig te kunnen uitvoeren, vragen wij van ouders hun kind tijdig aan te melden bij de directeur en hierbij aan te geven of zij verwachten dat hun kind extra ondersteuning nodig heeft. Het aanmelden van uw kind doet u schriftelijk.

Duty
The core concept of appropriate education is a duty of care. Duty of care means that the school has a responsibility to provide the appropriate support in good consultation with parents. Preferably as much as possible in your own school. If it turns out that this is not possible at our school, then we have the task of looking for the best appropriate place. We consult with you which school is best suited to your child. This can be at another school within the partnership or at a special (basic) education school. If you do not agree with the school's offer, you can contact us, ask for support from an education consultant or submit it to a national dispute committee.
